Decentralized networks like Filecoin and Arweave didn't break—they continued serving content from nodes across 100+ countries. The same resilience applies to compute. The $600 billion is a bet on uniformity. The contrarian bet is on heterogeneity.

Culture compounds faster than capital. The hyperscaler buildout is a capital play. The decentralized compute movement is a cultural one—it's about ownership, censorship resistance, and open access. I've seen this before: in 2020, DeFi Summer was dismissed as a casino; it became a trillion-dollar ecosystem. In 2021, NFTs were called beanie babies; they became status tokens with a 0.78 correlation to floor prices. The cultural audit always wins in the long run.
