No smart contract address. No audit report. No legal framework. What existed was a press release and a pilot so controlled it could have been executed on a spreadsheet. This is not a leap forward. It is a carefully staged photo op.
Real-world asset tokenization is a crowded field. MakerDAO dominates with billions in TVL. Centrifuge and Ondo Finance have established legal and technical rails for institutional-grade tokenization. Into this arena steps Injective, a layer-1 blockchain focused on derivatives and cross-chain DeFi. Its partnership with LG CNS, the IT arm of LG Group, and POSCO International, a steel and trading conglomerate, seems strategic. The pilot aimed to digitize trade receivables—invoices that represent money owed for goods delivered. The test was to prove that such assets could be represented on a public blockchain, settled with transparency, and potentially traded. The participants framed this as a milestone. The market nodded. But the details are missing.
The core of any RWA tokenization project is not the blockchain. It is the legal bridge. The first question any due diligence analyst asks: what is this token under the law?
